“There is something permanent, and something extremely profound, in owning a home.”
After founding his real estate company in the Houston-Galveston markets in 1966, Bill Cherry, Broker-Realtor -- now based in Dallas -- it grew to become one of the most respected boutique real estate firms in Texas.
The Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex has almost 15,000 residential Realtors. Of those, the majority has been licensed for less than ten years. It is estimated by the Metrotex Association of Realtors that less than 0.05% of them has been licensed, much less active in the real estate business, for as long as Bill has.
You see, Bill Cherry is now celebrating his 50th year.
By partnering with the largest blog of professionals,ActiveRain, Bill's powerful network is able to extend its reach to 43 countries, across six continents.
Bill Cherry, is passionate about delivering exceptional consumer experiences. By offering a complete suite of real estate services through his hand picked professional lenders, home inspectors, engineers, title company escrow officers, and stagers, Bill's clients are ensured that he and his team will meet their every need.
One time at a cocktail party, Bill jokingly asked a magazine publisher why he (Bill) hadn't made the magazine's Best Realtor list.
The publisher quickly responded, "Because you're the Best in the World, and we don't have a catagory for that distinction because each year you'd be the only one named!"
I know that he was only joshing, but we both knew that many who were on the magazine's list got the appointment because they bought an ad.
If you were to recommend to a friend a neurosurgeon, you wouldn't pick the one who had minimal experience. You would pick the one who had been a brain malfunction problem solver for years, wouldn't you?
The same should be true with your real estate broker. Pick the one who has years of successes under his belt. It dramatically increases your opportunity for the greatest success.
Another time, a major bank's loan officer called to tell Bill, and the seller's Realtor, that a home loan that had been promised to close that day, would be delayed until the middle of the following week.
Bill knew the president of that bank, so he called him at his office in San Francisco and asked for help. Within the hour, the loan officer notified all parties that the loan had been rescheduled again, and would close, as originally agreed, at 3 pm that day.
Bill Cherry, a Texas Realtor, known and respected stateside, should be your choice.

Many times overlooked by those who are considering buying a home or perhaps selling theirs, are the importance of the negotiating, and the legal and financing challenges that are involved.
Seasoned Realtors like me, those with many years of experience, more often than not can agilely track through what are monumental land mines to the less knowledgeable agents and their brokers.
In fact where other agents are involved in a transaction, I often find myself instructing that agent along the way.
It's double work, but it increases the chances that the transaction will successfully come together. I'm more than happy to do it.
Without my kind of expertise working for them, those clients' opportunity for completing negotiations with their lender or the other side of the sale, that sale's opportunity to come to fruition often would fail.
That is why a real estate license assures nothing more than the agent has passed a standard test to show that the agent has a reasonable understanding of the legalities of real estate and the process.
It honestly provides nothing more.
In fact, would you believe that no Texas real estate licensing study course addresses or prepares a student for selling?
That's probably why a recent study found that more than 1,500 of the agents representing a major franchise in Dallas did not earn a commission in 2014.
